Jasmine and Heinz have added three new, fun rides to our calendar. They are as follows:
Sunday June 7th
Edmonton River Valley Rendezvous
A moderate ride from one end of the river valley and back. We will start in Goldbar park, cycle to the westend of the city mostly on bike trails and bike routes and back. Approx 40 KM -+/3 hours depending on the stops made along the way!
The ride will be followed by an informal social gathering at Goldbar Park with treats! All riders are asked to bring a dessert or treats to share with the group at the park after the ride. We will supply some cold beverages, cups, plates, napkins etc.
This ride is self support and cyclists must be able to maintain their own bikes. This ride will involve some hills.
Cyclists are encouraged to bring their cameras to capture some beautiful vistas of Edmonton along the way! We will stop for photo opportunities!
Details: Meet at Goldbar Park parking lot at 1:30 PM, sign in/registration. We will leave at 2 PM SHARP!

Saturday June 13th
Piggies Go To Market
A moderate to intermediate bike tour from north Edmonton to the St. Albert Farmers Market via bike trails and some quiet city streets/highway and backroads! Approx. 55 KM return. Visit the St. Albert Farmers Market on their opening day and enjoy shopping for fresh goodies and stop for a treats/lunch and coffee.
Ride is self support and cyclists must be able to maintain their own bikes. A pannier or backpack for purchases can be useful!
We will meet at the GRAND TRUNK RECREATION CENTRE parking lot located by the main entrance on the westside of the Centre off of 132 Ave and 112 Street.( I have permission for this)
DETAILS: Meeting Time is 9 AM, sign in and registration for a 9:30 AM SHARP start.
We will head north and east on side streets, cycling trails and pass through the Namao Base. We will tour through the upscale neighbourhood at Pinnicle Ridge and enjoy the beautiful views of the Sturgeon River as it winds its way through the countryside. We will make our way to the St. Albert Market where we will have plenty of time to wander around and purchase unique items and food items for lunch. Cyclists can enjoy a picnic or eat at one of the many food trucks and vendors at the market.
We will return to Edmonton and to the recreation centre via bike trails and quiet city streets.

Canola and Cones
Date: Saturday July 11/2015
Details to be announced at later date. Ride distance 60 KM -+, cycling from north Edmonton to Bon Accord via bike trails, 50th street, Sunnyside road. Intermediate. 50th street has had some work done and although it has some rough spots, I think it will be acceptable for road bikes.
