Monday Paved Bike Paths for Hybrids & E-bikes—South Side
Dates: Mondays, May 31- June 28
Time: Arrive at 6:00PM for a 6:15PM sharp start; anticipate 1-2hrs.
Starting Point: Hazeldean School, 6715-97 St; parking lot at North end; wear a mask in parking lot; must wear helmet on ride and have bell on bike.
Ride Leader:Terry Fannon, Pam Young and Rob Strashok
Skill level/distance/appropriate bike: Recreational cyclists including new riders and those who have been off the bike for a while.Hybrids, e-bikes, mountain and fat bikes welcome! Distance 14-18 km based on participant interest.
Route Maps: Not required; group will ride and regroup together
Ride Description: Come for a leisurely ride on paved bike paths and marked bike lanes. Gain comfort and confidence riding safely in a group. Get tips from experienced ride leaders about bike handling and group riding for optimum safety. We will stop for “teachable moments” and maybe for coffee if you wish (and if services are nearby). Plan for 2 hours total.
