West End Target The Tour (Event Temporarily Cancelled; Watch For Updates)
West End Target the Tour training is a ride for all cyclists The West End rides have various starting points between the west end of Edmonton, Spruce Grove, and St-Albert. These Sunday morning rides enable riders to prepare for the Tour de l’Alberta and other longer rides (or just to get into good cycling fitness condition). It is a progressive ride that builds rider endurance. A focus of each ride will be safe riding. Bring your well-maintained road bike and cell phone for an enjoyable tour on good roads with some rolling hills. Though there is always a rider responsible for each ride, it is impossible to sweep all distances offered. Beginner riders welcome! Please make sure you can read a map, have google maps on your phone or Ride with GPS. There is no support but riding in groups can help. Titles of rides on Ride with GPS follow this format:
- Lessard Rd WE TtT HPT distance 2020 (not the same Timmies as last year!)
- Spruce Grove WE TtT SG distance 2020
- Albert WE TtT SA distance 2020
Eg. April 12 ride titles are WE TtT HPT 25k 2020
WE TtT rides begins April 12 at 10:30 and will run weekly at rotating locations indicated below. Notice change of start times as the weather gets warmer. Please be ready10 minutes before ride time, we start on time!
NOTE: These are approximate distances and may vary closer to date of ride!! Construction has a way of making ride planning interesting. Various options, extensions or cut-offs will be discussed at every ride.
