About
The Edmonton Bicycle and Touring Club (EBTC) is a volunteer run non-profit club that provides recreational cycling and social activities for adults in the Edmonton area. Our club, one of the oldest in Canada, was incorporated in 1978. 43 years later, we are still focused on four informal principles of: Food, Friendship, Fitness and Fun!
In early April, we start our ride season. A typical year sees 200+ rides in Edmonton and area with skill levels ranging from novice to advanced. We welcome road, mountain, touring, fat and ebikes! No matter what we are riding or our level of experience, we are on the road every day of the week.
Our 2021 calendar includes new rider outings, a novice ride series, recreational, trail and out & back rides. New this year are stamina builder (up to 100km) and Enduro (160km) series. Some of our long-time favourites include: Al’s Bakery Ride, the Vermillion Pizza ride and trips to Elk Island and Pigeon Lake. Our overnight and multi-day trips are on hold this season. All 2021 rides are organized and managed with compliance to COVID-19 protocols.
