The Outbacks
Dates: The Outbacks
Dates: Wednesdays, May 4 – Aug 10
Time: Meet 9:45AM, wheels rolling 10AM
Location: Parkland County
Ride Leaders: Phil Davidson
Ride Rating/Focus: Intermediate/Training
Skill Level: open to all; time focus not distance; road bike
Description: These are training rides suitable for all levels. You can build strength, power and speed to add to the endurance you get from other longer rides plus get a good cardio workout. Like a spin class but out on the roads of Parkland County in the fresh air. After a short warm-up ride, you will ride hard for 30 minutes, recover ride for 10 minutes, ride hard another 30 minutes and cool down ride for 10 minutes.
Not a group ride: each of us rides at our own pace for the specified time, not distance. You go as far as you can in the specified time and watch your distance increase in the same time from week to week. Work in some shorter, repetitive interval training if you wish.
